What Are Emotions?
Emotional competence is person’s ability to experience and acknowledge their own and others’ emotions and use them to improve their life.
Person’s emotional sphere comprises three components:
- Current emotions — involuntary reaction, which can be experienced, acknowledged, and exploited in your behavior and activity, but cannot be controlled.
- Feelings — prolonged emotional states depending on person’s motivation.
- Experience — includes going through and acknowledging the emotion.
