Refugee Action to support refugees.

Refugee Action to support refugees.

Test Yourself is delighted to announce the relationship with Refugee Action to support refugees.

This new partnership will help us better respond to the needs of refugees and act as a catalyst for other groups, businesses and individuals who wish to make the refugees feel safe and welcome.

For more than 40 years Refugee Action has helped refugees and people seeking asylum who have fled some of the world’s worst regimes and conflicts. After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, we are seeing the generosity of the UK public, who have responded with many different offers of help and donations. Refugee Action has started to support some of the most venerable Ukrainian families that have come through the scheme, using their resettlement experience to advise local authorities and the national government on how refugees can be better supported and most importantly amplify refugee voices for a better refugee protection system. Refugee Action continues to live up to its values of being courageous and calling for support for all refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.

Test Yourself is a provider of Antigen tests and is committed to supporting charities and organisations working in communities in the UK by donating 25 per cent of its profits to worthwhile causes.

Brad Collier, Business Development Manager at Test Yourself, said: “ I knew of Refugee Action from working with the Vietnamese refugees, and understood that they work at a granular level with people who need emotional and practical support after their traumatic experiences.

“Forty years on we can all see the amazing generosity of volunteers around the country, opening up their homes and giving comfort to people fleeing Ukraine. However, many of these folks have no prior experience of working with refugees, or even meeting someone who is seeking a safe haven.

“We see that this is where Refugee Action’s professional input is so valuable, being able to support refugees and the hosting families with legal, financial and psychological help"
